Mr. President Donald
Trump,
Given Ms. María Corina
Machado’s persistent efforts to obstruct every initiative your administration
has undertaken to restore order and governance in Venezuela, I believe it would
be prudent to consider alternative roles for her.
Over the past two
decades, Ms. Machado has demonstrated expertise and experience primarily in one
field: the electoral process. She served on the board of SUMATE, a Venezuelan
NGO dedicated to promoting, monitoring, and auditing elections. Later, she and
several members of SUMATE founded the political party VENTE Venezuela.
Through SUMATE, she observed and supported electoral scenarios, and within
VENTE, she began to pursue political power.
Considering her
background in the preparation, management, and evaluation of electoral
processes, Ms. Machado would be well suited for a position that demands such
expertise — one that should be filled immediately by someone with her profile.
She would make an excellent President of the National Electoral Council
(CNE), the highest authority overseeing electoral matters in Venezuela.
From that position,
she could establish a clear work schedule and implement a comprehensive plan to
reform the institution, redefine internal procedures, cleanse the Permanent
Electoral Registry, and design a multi-phase electoral process aligned with her
Three-Stage Plan for Venezuela. She could also introduce manual voting
as the preferred method.
It may not be the role
she aspires to, but it is certainly one where she could be exceptionally
effective.
As for her political
affiliations, it is worth noting that in Venezuela, membership in a party’s
leadership is not unusual. All current members of the CNE have had ties to
political organizations — a pattern consistent throughout both the Chavista era
and the preceding democratic period.
In conclusion, I
express my sincere gratitude, Mr. President, for your continued efforts on
behalf of Venezuela.
In God I trust.
